Top Shelf Starts
Kirk Cousins (QB6)- I’m not a huge fan of Cousins as a real life quarterback, but as a fantasy quarterback there aren’t many offenses that are more quarterback friendly than that of the Redskins. Coming into this week, the Redskins ranked fourth in pass attempts and Cousins is second in the NFL in passing yards. The Browns are, well, the Browns. I’m expecting a huge game from Cousins this week.
Le’Veon Bell (RB2)- Heeee’s baaacckkk! I’m putting Bell in this article only because people are actually questioning starting him this week since it’s his first game back and the fact that DeAngelo Williams has played so well this season. Don’t get cute. Start your studs.
Dwayne Washington (RB21)- All aboard! It’s almost time for the DWash train to leave the station. Theo Riddick will always be apart of this offense with his ability to catch the ball. However, all reports out of Detroit are saying that Washington is going to see more work. This is a good week for Washington to showcase his skills.
Terrelle Pryor (WR17)- Finally! Kudos to Hue Jackson for finally realizing that Terrelle Pryor is one of, if not the most gifted athlete in the NFL. He will not be shadowed by Josh Norman this week which is a great sign for Pryor and his fantasy owners.
Jimmy Graham (TE7)- Jimmy G is showing some signs of life. While he may never be the guy once considered the most dominant pass catcher in the NFL, he’s still a threat to score any week he plays.
Players in the Well
Jameis Winston (QB20)- While Winston is having a good fantasy season as he’s tied for first in the league with eight touchdown passes, he also leads the league in turnovers with eight. Playing the vaunted Broncos defense this week, this could be an ugly week for the Bucs.
Justin Forsett vs OAK (RB33)- Reports have recently suggested that Terrence West might get the start this week, for whatever that’s worth. If you’re still hoping that this is the week that Forsett finally breaks out and gets a grip on this starting role against the worst defense, yardage wise, in the NFL, don’t hold your breath. Forsett and West are just keeping the seat warm until Kenneth Dixon is healthy.
Julian Edelman (WR27)- I don’t know who’s playing quarterback for the Patriots this week and I’m not really interested in Edelman either way. Edelman owners just need to be patient for one more week.
